Days off mean stylin'.
Please don't search too close in my photos - my hands (and feet) in particular are dry and in need of love, since nine hour days and regular dousings in blood and fish guts seem to have a bad effect. Who'da thunk it.
I put in a mammoth order with ASOS on Monday night. It arrived today. A few pieces are keepers, a couple are stinkers. I discovered that I can't wear elasticated alice bands (they just ping off the top of my head) and that I really, really love jewellery a bit out of the ordinary.
Mainly, though, I discovered that I still love fashion.
Natural face, Avon ColorTrend Eye Duo in Spellbound (pencil only),
Lancome Star Gloss in Light Kirsch. Very glad I'm booked in for a hair cut tomorrow -
I'm in dire need of a trim.

Crappy photo is crappy. Sorry bout that. Blame the Scottish weather.
Burgundy knit skirt, Asos Curve. Stripe top, Tu. Brooch, gifted.
Better pic of colour of skirt. It's very nice, swooshy and drapey and just the right length. The elasticated waist means it doesn't bag down onto the hip either. The cuff here was given to me by my mother in law. It's very pretty and it covers the inevitable scars from my job.
Have some feet, I insist. Slingbacks, Ethel Austin (I think).
Because I've been so focused on work this last year, I've lost a lot of confidence in myself and styling an outfit, even a simple styling like today's, helps me with that.
More ASOS gear tomorrow (probably) after getting my barnet chopped.

Burgundy is one of my absolute favourite colours at the moment, so I approve of the skirt :)

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
