All Hallow's Eve

First post in a long time, and it's a Hallowe'en post. I do love Hallowe'en just a little bit. Any excuse to get dressed up is a good one, in my opinion.

I've not been posting as my job entails wearing a uniform, and protective equipment, and wearing what basically amounts to a huge white shirt and a PVC apron, day in day out, is not quite what one wants for inspired fashion blogging, n'est pas?

Hallowe'en has given me an excuse to dress for work. Thank you, over-commercialized Pagan wonder-holiday. Our store ran a 'Spooktacular' over 4 days. I dressed for 2 of these (money raised went to a local charity.)

Saturday I went the face paint route:

Carnival Face Paints, freehand with chisel tip brush. Filter courtesy of PhotoBooth.
Lots of people got a real fright upon seeing me like this!

Today's look was a little tamer:

Demon doll look. Waspie, Gok Wan at Simply Yours; skirt, Dorothy Perkins; blouse, hand-me-down; trimmings, local craft shop. Tights, Sainsburys. Not visible in photo: doll joints drawn on tights in Sharpie marker; single frilly sock; silver flats from Debenhams.

Earrings made by me. Face painted at six in the morning in a combo of Carnival white face paint and L'Oreal True Match in Ivory. Pink and red eyeshadow, Aromaleigh. Eyeliner, W7 Paint The Line gel pot. Blush, Aromaleigh. Lips, combo Revlon Just Bitten lip stain Berry Juicy, Collection 2000 purple eyeliner, Wet N Wild Diamond Brilliance gloss.
Colours are far less vivid than in real life, thanks to wash out from rubbish cam (sorry Apple.)

Work today was great fun, with zombies, giant cats, pirates and a Sith Lord all wandering about the shop floor. Hope you all have a fab Hallowe'en too - I'm off to scare the locals!

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
